The Paramount logo is very iconic as Paramount is a very
large company in the film business. Denotation of this logo is simple a large
mountain above cloud level with the name Paramount perched on the peak all
inside a circle of stars. This is very open and is not linked with one theme or
genre in the film business as it isn’t “scary” or based on fantasy etc. The
large mountain could connote the paramount is bigger higher and ultimately
better than all the other companies out there. The natural lighting look gives
the logo a realistic feel.
The orchestral music commonly associated with the
animation really gives it that “epic” almighty feel. The animation of the logo
changes depending on how long they want to make it the full fledge logo shows
the stars of paramount crossing over a lake and then up the mountain to which
they then arc round and then this is when we see the name of the company.
Paramount have not really got much variation in there logo
sometimes no music is present if the film is more sinister or serious however
they do not tend to change the logos basics. However they do release special
logos every anniversary the most up to date version being the 100th
one of the more significant milestones a company can have
