There are many present genres in publication, In the modern market many genres are joined together into a hybrid genre, This application is very common in film because it allows producers to create a film that fits their ideal audience perfectly.
Every genre has its own success (as can be seen above). Comedy films remain the most watched films in America despite that peoples sense of humour can vary, This shows that perhaps audiences are more inclined to watch a comedy film because they know what they will get, as a pose to watching something more story driven where by they might not have links to the characters such as a drama.
Despite Comedy, Adventure, Drama and Action clearly being the top 4 genres to work it these are very hard to replicate on a small budget for our publication. This is due the different factors for the different genres but the predominate issue is the amount of CGI and other special effects in these hollywood productions, introductions of after affects and other editing software has allowed small time producers to replicate these special effects however our group has little understanding of these programs and cant replicate the hollywood standard.
