Film poster are a very old school way of advertising films, however they still prove to be very effective in the modern market. The most common place to view film posters is in cinemas or in DVD rental/shops this is  due to the fact that the ideal target audience has a higher chance of seeing it. Poster like banners are also used on buses this advertises on a massive scale as passers by will see the advert meaning that one bus can advertise to 1000s of people.
